The English Faculty is delighted to announce that Year 12 student Maisie has just won the first prize in a national literary analysis competition run by Aston University, and open to every school in the country.

The judges said: ‘Maisie’s essay was anonymously judged to be the top contribution of all entries. She submitted an extremely impressive close reading, and we had a very high standard of entries from Year 12 students from all over the country. She and Nower Hill should be very proud!’

Masie’s prize is £50 of Waterstones’ vouchers and a tailor-made trip to Aston University for the whole Y12 English Literature A Level class, complete with personalised lectures and a campus tour. We can’t wait and congratulations Maisie!
