Parents and Friends of Nower Hill
The Parents and Friends Association (PTFA) was established in 1983 and has a long history of working alongside the school community. Our aim is to promote a sense of community between staff, parents and the children of Nower Hill and to raise money for additional resources for the students. The school is more than a place of learning; it is a warm, caring, nurturing community where all are valued and encouraged to play a role. Parents who take an active role, no matter how small, within the PTFA help to build on this.

The Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) continues to go from strength to strength. We aim to organise an exciting event every term, including our popular Quiz Night, the Year 7 Spring Disco. There is truly something for the whole family to enjoy! We also sell refreshments at the annual Summer Music Festival.
Thanks to the fantastic support of our parents, carers, students, and staff, the PTFA is able to give back generously to the school community. By sending your child to Nower Hill High School, you automatically become a valued member of the PTFA. We welcome your involvement at any level — after all, you get out what you put in! We look forward to meeting you soon.
Meet the Team
Chair
My name is Bijal Bavishi and I have 3 children. My youngest daughter is now in Year 12. I work from home.
Since a very young age, I have always supported the local community in fundraising, so when my children started school, joining a PTA became a natural extension of what I enjoy doing. For 14 years from 2008-2022, I served as Secretary and then Vice Chair of the PTA at Longfield Primary School. Seeing the children having fun and supporting the school by purchasing those extra items not covered by the school budget was very rewarding.
Since 2016, it has been an honour and privilege to be the PTFA Chair at Nower Hill. I am grateful to work alongside an amazing team of volunteers and Nower Hill staff, who are all enriching the lives of our future generation. I look forward to working with Nower Hill and parents during the years ahead.
Secretary
My name is Urvi, and I am the Secretary for the NHHS PTFA, after being an occasional helper for 2 years. I have just the 1 daughter in year 10.
I have always enjoyed helping the community and being part of groups that enhance children's learning experiences, having served as the PTA chair at Pinner Park Primary School for 6 years from 2016 to 2022 and vice chair from 2015 to 2016, and currently help as a Beaver leader at my daughter's Scout group.
I look forward to working alongside the rest of the PTFA team to run events that both parents and children can enjoy whilst raising funds to provide additional resources for our children.
Treasurer
My name is Jugjeet and I am the Treasurer for the Nower Hill PTFA. I work in the NHS and I have 3 daughters. My youngest daughter is now in Year 12.
I used to be an occasional helper but took up the role of Treasurer a few years ago. I really enjoy being part of the PTFA. The PTFA plays such an important role in raising funds for resources for our children. They are a great team who work together to run fun events for both children and parents. I feel privileged to work alongside them and would encourage other parents to join our great team.
