FOCUS ROOM AND BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT COORDINATOR

36 hours per week term time only, Monday to Friday 8:15am-4:15pm (an unpaid break is incorporated in the hours). Salary scale H5, at £29,583 which pro rata is £25,302.34.

Required for an immediate start: an enthusiastic, proactive and organised person to support, mentor and work with students who have been identified by staff in school who need a restorative focus following behaviour concerns. The right candidate will enjoy working with students who may present with challenging behaviour and be effective at maintaining good relationships whilst upholding very high expectations of behaviour.  They would be working alongside an outstanding team of staff at Nower Hill, and be a part of the Student Support Leadership Team.
 
The post would suit an individual with experience in working with teenagers in some capacity; alternatively, an individual who has worked with young adults and has transferable skills and a real willingness to work patiently with young people experiencing challenges in making the most of their school experience. They would need to be robust and have a positive, “can do” approach.

Required for an immediate start: an enthusiastic, proactive and organised person to support, mentor and work with students. The right candidate will enjoy working with students who may present with challenging behaviour and be effective at maintaining good relationships whilst upholding very high expectations of behaviour. The right candidate will enjoy working as part of a team within the Inclusion and Student Support Faculties.
 
The post would suit a suitably qualified youth worker or mentor, or someone with experience in working with teenagers.

GRADUATE INTERN TEACHING ASSISTANT

35 hours per week term time only 8.15am - 4.15pm (a one-hour unpaid break is incorporated in the hours.) Salary scale H2, at £26,238 pa which pro rata is £21,817. 

Required for a September start with three weeks paid induction in July, an enthusiastic and committed person to support and work with students within and outside of the classroom. It is essential that applicants hold a degree qualification or equivalent. 

The successful candidate will support students both in the mainstream classroom and also in a 1:1 capacity. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead small group sessions within the core subject areas of Maths and English. An interest in working with students with a wide range of special educational needs including emotional, social and mental health needs is essential, together with an interest in supporting second language learners.  A caring, flexible and common sense approach is important.

This post is ideal for recent graduates who may be considering embarking on a career in teaching, health or social care, as you will have the opportunity to work with young people with a range of needs and benefit from the considerable experience of our Inclusion Faculty colleagues. Excellent CPD opportunities are available in our highly regarded Inclusion Faculty and many of our Interns move on to successful teaching careers or other professional careers working with children and young people.
