Year 8 Natural History Museum Visit

Posted on: 02/05/2018

Throughout the months of February, March and May all our Year 8 students attended the Natural History Museum where they had the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops.

The first investigated geological forces from deep within the Earth and demonstrated an earthquake as well as pouring lava, highlighting the massive power of our planets’ natural forces and the effects on society.

Students went on to explore over three hundred real Museum specimens, which include dinosaur fossils to butterflies and rare minerals.

They then carried out their own scientific investigations, looking for evidence, measuring, observing and recording their chosen specimen.
