Year 11 British Physics Olympiad Intermediate Challenge

Posted on: 23/03/2021

On the first day back to school on Wednesday 10th March 2021, 16 of our exceptional physicists in Year 11 took part in the ‘British Physics Olympiad Intermediate Challenge’.

This national competition is very challenging and is aimed specifically at the most able physicists nationally. Its purpose is to push students in their thinking about physics and to develop higher order thinking skills, as well as to encourage students to study physics further. Our students competed with the top achieving physics students, who were mainly from selective schools, unlike Nower Hill.

The results that our students achieved have been the highest we have got at Year 11 and this is an amazing achievement! Students were given the awards below:

Gold: Christina, Rego, Nikhil, Jai

Silver: Ammar, Caiden, Luke, Tanish, William, Nathaniel, Armaan, Jafar

Bronze: Ananya, Leeya, Shreya, Asmi

Not only are we extremely proud of the outstanding achievements of our students, but also of their determination and motivation to take part in the competition after-school on their first day back. Our sincere congratulations to all of them!
