The Nower Hill High School Symposium

It was an honour and a pleasure to welcome Johnson BeHarry, VC, COG to Nower Hill High School on the 16th October as part of our Symposium programme.  The audience were sat on the edge of their seats whilst Johnson regaled us with his challenging journey; leaving Grenada and serving in the British Army followed by his extreme acts of heroism which resulted in the Queen awarding him the Victoria Cross.  It was also fascinating to hear about his current work with youths who are vulnerable to gang involvement and crime.  The passion and verve with which Johnson spoke inspired a sustained ovation and we are delighted that we will be donating over £200 to his foundation from a retiring collection.
