As part of Languages Fortnight, the Faculty of Linguistics And Classical Studies launched their first ever version of the Great British Bake-Off: The Great Languages Bake-Off.

The many excellent entries were judged by a panel of judges who were all impressed by the exceptional level of effort students put into baking their languages themed cakes.

Cakes were judged using the following criteria:

• Presentation
• Consistency
• Taste
• Creativity

The cakes were sold to staff at lunchtime and all proceeds were donated to DEC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Winners:

1^st place : Apernah Sooriyakumar

2^nd place : Avni Shah

3^rd place : Zara Motiwala
