Year 6 Taster Day – Wednesday 3rd July 2019Posted on: 10/07/2019
On Wednesday 3rd July we were delighted to welcome 324 Year 6 students who will be making up our new Year 7 cohort from September. After months of planning it was lovely to meet our new students. The students started their day by meeting their new form tutors and having time in their tutor groups to get to know each other and learn more about the school.
The students were fantastically well behaved all day and enjoyed taster lessons in a variety of lessons including Classics, History and French to name but a few. Some form groups even had the chance to practise for their first ever singing assembly in Music. At the end of the day students came back to the hall and enjoyed finishing the day with singing the Year group song that had been taught in Music earlier that day.
We would like to thank the amazing Peer Mentors and Teaching Assistants who supported the students throughout the day and the new Year 7 Form Tutors who spent time with their tutees in the morning.
We would like to wish all the students a safe, restful and enjoyable summer break and look forward to seeing the students back in the school hall on Wednesday 4th September in their Nower Hill uniforms, ready to start their first term at Secondary school.
