Year 12 Visit to Clifford Chance

Posted on: 24/04/2019

On 28th March 25 Year 12 students had the amazing opportunity of visiting Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, at their offices in Canary Wharf. Students were joined by trainee solicitors, a senior associate of Clifford Chance and other employees and were able to find out how each of them became interested in a legal career, their route into a career at Clifford Chance and what their working day is like. All employees said they had to work extremely hard and the working hours were often long, but the job satisfaction, opportunity to travel and financial rewards more than compensated.

Students were given a tour of their impressive offices, complete with swimming pool, gym, hairdresser and post office. Clifford Chance’s recruitment team then led an exercise on how students’ hobbies and part-time work can provide them with valuable employability skills. Questions were fired at our students and they had to think on their feet, just as they would in a job interview situation.

Our 6th formers thoroughly enjoyed the visit and it has inspired some of them to pursue a legal career in the future.
