On 5^th May, 10 female students in Year 10 visited RAF Northolt to participate in an RAF Inspire Women Event, along with students from other local schools.  This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to find out about the different career options available to women in the RAF. 

Our students talked to female RAF servicewomen about their jobs and took part in practical activities such as building a platform for a construction tower (RAF Engineering) and participating in a mock trial (RAF Service Prosecution Authority). Highlights for the students were climbing inside a Chinook helicopter to find out how it operates and watching it depart later in the day, meeting an RAF police dog and participating in virtual reality to perform tasks that an RAF crew member would complete. Several of our students said that they are considering joining the RAF in the future.
