SKI TRIP 2009
3rd -11th April 2009 - Zell am See, Austria
Pristine white mountains covered in soft snow with the best sunshine in weeks above our heads. There was a mix of groups from the show offs in the Advanced, to the not-quite-good-enough-to-be-show-offs in the Intermediate to the fresh faced Beginners. The first couple of days were all about picking up the skills from last year or picking up skis for the first time! Half way into the week though, everyone was on their feet, flying down the mountain, thanks to the fantastic teaching from the Ski Astons' instructors, who we all agreed were brilliant! ......
......Described by many as 'the funniest holiday ever', this year's ski trip was the best one yet. The photos of Zell am See ski resort told no lie as we walked out of the gondala onto
what can only be described as
Skiers' Shangri-La.
All in all, I'm confident everyone found it the funniest, most fun, most phantasmogorical, banter filled trip ever, and on behalf of the students I'd like to say thanks to all the teachers involved (Miss Rhodes, Miss Cripps, Mr Parker, Mr White), who were more like teenagers themselves when they were there. Look out ski trip 2010!

Thanks to all the students and staff involved for making it such an excellent trip and being such strong team players, both during the day and also when participating in all the evening ents. Special congratulations to anyone who got one of Mr White's awards during the week. Hope to see you all again next year so we can conquer those red and black runs!
