DRESS CODE FOR 6TH FORM

 

As you may well know, 6th Form students do not have to wear school uniform, however a good standard of dress still needs to be maintained. Remember, you need to set an example to the rest of the school and will often be called upon to help out staff around the school. You need to dress for the task in hand, i.e. work!

 

The following items of clothing however will not be permitted:

• Torn jeans
• Trousers or jeans worn in such a way as to expose underwear
• Revealing clothing that exposes the chest, midriff or buttocks
• Vests for boys
• Football or other sports team shirts
• Hooded sweatshirts ( with the hood worn up )
• Clothing with offensive slogans, including FCUK
• Indiscreet facial piercings
• Head gear
• Shorts worn above the knee
• ‘Short’ shorts or skirts and / tights / long socks
• Leggings (not tights) may only be worn with a mid thigh length top
• Scarves associated with political movements

Revised Uniform

There will be a revised school uniform from September 2011. There are some small alterations to enable us to identify students from different year groups more easily. Different year groups will now have their own identity, in terms of the colour of their tie (boys), winter jumper stripe, and summer polo shirt.

Please note that these colour codings will stay with the student as they move up the school, so you will not have to buy new colours each year. For instance - Year 7's at the moment who started in September 2011 in green ties and green stripes on the jumpers will continue into Year 8 wearing green, and will stay green throughout their years right up until Year 11, and new Year 7's who will start in September 2012 will start wearing red ties and red stripes on the jumpers and keep the colour red throughout thier years.
