The travellers continued undaunted nonetheless, and four countries and over a 1000 miles later, arrived smiling, dishevelled and confused to be greeted by Marcia, our Rep’. Marcia guided us (efficiently and in perfect order) to our salubrious accommodations. We had had a lucky break.

DRAMA TRIP TO

LAKE GARDA - ITALY

On the 28 th July, 40 intrepid pupils from Years 8 through to 12, accompanied by four dynamic and excitable teachers embarked on a trip to the Lake Garda region of Italy. We travelled by coach, universally agreed to be an ordeal of significant proportions by all involved. Imagine 22 hours of back breaking discomfort, then couple this with watching Mr Fallon adopt a variety of physically impossible sleeping positions, then add sixteen straight hours of poor quality DVD entertainment, and you start to get the picture.

Highlights included the Gondola rides through Venice, Juliet’s Balcony and the Statue in Verona, the Ice cream – the wonderful Ice cream, Russell’s big smile when he was served his first Italian Pudding, Raph’ and Warren’s moving performance, Piazza san Marco, No looky looky (you had to be there), Nabiah’s unerring sense of direction, the huge storms, our coach drivers, the cappuccino, swimming in the pool, falling in the pool, taking over the pool and Millie and Minal’s birthday surprise to mention but a few.

Back to School Trips

The Hotel was just what we needed,

mainly because of the enormous pool and numerous bars surrounding it. Heaven!! We spent a wonderful week in Italy, visiting Venice, Verona, Gardaland and participating in a number of testing drama workshops that pushed our students to their limits. A fantastic time was had by all. So much so that we

slept all the way back. Everybody that

is, except Ms Ball, but somebody had to keep the drivers awake!
