Nower Hill High School
PERMITTED EMPLOYMENT :- Children over 12 and under 13 may be employed only by their parents/guardians and only in light agricultural or horticultural work, subject to the hours for children under 15 as Above. Only delivery of milk or newspapers is permitted between 7am. and 8am. on Sundays. No child of school age is permitted to be employed in Street Trading or in any of the following places: Cafes, Kitchens, Fish and Chip shops, etc., Public houses, Factories, Industrial premises, Garages or anywhere with petrol or inflammable liquids.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:- Medical Certificate and Issue of Employment Card from the Local Authority. Form of Application for this may be obtained from the Secretary at the school.
NOTES:- The Work Experience Scheme in the final year of schooling operates under different regulations which are obtainable from the Careers Staff at the school.
