Intermediate Math’s Challenge

Posted on: 27/03/2019

We are delighted to share with you the success our Year 10 and Year 11 students have had in the recent Intermediate Math’s Challenge. We had 69 students who successfully received a certificate of achievement. Of which, 14 students were invited to participate in the follow up Math’s Olympiad, due to their outstanding achievement in the previous Math’s Challenge.

Of the 14 students aforementioned, we are delighted to announce that Shyam Subramanian, in Year 11, has been selected to attend a National Mathematics Summer School following his excellent performance in this year’s Intermediate Math’s Challenge. He will be the first student from Nower Hill to be invited to the summer school, which will run at the University of Leeds and brings together young Mathematicians from all over the UK for a week of Math’s fun.

The sessions are led by various professionals, from universities to grammar schools alike and have a strong team teachers, academics and university students helping them to run these sessions.

We would like to take his opportunity to congratulate all those students who participated in the Intermediate Math’s Challenge and hope to see continued success from all the brilliant Nower Hill Mathematicians going forward.
