The Globe Players Visit Nower Hill High SchoolPosted on: 16/10/2018
Our Year 11 students watched an excellent performance of ‘Macbeth’ by The Globe Players who visited the school on Tuesday 9th October. The company gave a captivating performance that absorbed the attention of students and their English teachers. As well as breaking character to discuss scenes, the performance was followed by a question and answer session on subjects ranging from ‘Which scene is the most enjoyable to act out?’ to ‘What characters would you explore if writing an essay on ambition?’
The performance was thoroughly enjoyable, and served as live exam revision for our students. Many students fed back to their teachers that they were able to recall lines from the play and also how it aided their understanding of key themes – proving how beneficial the experience was.
