A Taste of Life in the 6th Form

Posted on: 02/07/2018

Year 11 students came back to school recently for a 6th Form Taster Day which gave them a flavour of what it will be like to study in the 6th form. Their Year 11 teachers were thrilled to see them back and the students were really excited to be out of uniform (at last!) and experience lessons in the subjects they have chosen to study next year. The day started with an assembly explaining all the opportunities that will be available to them in the 6th form, including young enterprise, EPQ, student leadership opportunities and work experience, as well as an introduction to the 6th Form charity, St. Marcellins. Students then experienced taster lessons in 4 different A-level subjects, after which teachers remarked at how focussed, engaged and enthusiastic students had been in the lessons. We look forward to seeing them again in September when they will be energised and ready for the challenges of A-levels. Until then, have a fantastic summer!
