Posted on: 12/02/2020

Congratulations are in order for Mohammed, who was recently awarded first prize for his entry in the Religion in Film competition held by Cambridge University’s Faculty of Divinity. Students taking PRE for GCSE enter the annual competition, with a cash prize of £150 up for grabs.

This year we had phenomenal results with Mohammed taking first prize and a further three groups taking runner-up places for their films on the theme of ‘religious treasures.’ Along with Mohammed, the runner-up groups will be screening their films for Ms Voden and have been invited to a prize-giving ceremony at Cambridge University.

Students have received a written letter of congratulations from Cambridge’s Faculty of Divinity remarking that their victories are especially impressive given that this year there was “a high number of entries to the competition and the quality was very high all round.” The letter also told the students to “feel very proud” of their achievements. The Humanities Faculty, PRE department, and all at Nower Hill, are certainly very proud of them! Well done Year 9!
